Hasegawa 1/72 SR71A Blackbird Gallery

I got a lot of bollocking from guys over the crap photos I took with the model on the floor. So, out came the 4 lamps and the backdrop curtains. Sorry guys for the eyesores. Shooting is still done with my Oppo R9S mobile phone as it has instant AE Lock and generally quite good depth of field. With 16 Mps, I generally find it okay unless photos are to be used for magazine printing. Hope you guys enjoy the gallery.

Hi Guys,

Enjoy the gallery. It was started as a project to try to learn how to paint in black. Really tricky. I tried, dark greys, with browns, purples for shadows and grey green for highlights. Somehow, it achieved 60% of what I hope to achieve with it. I will endeavour to improve on it in future models.

The kit is very old and I bought in Hong Kong Hong Kee, on Waterloo street, the lady owner is famed to be honest with her pricing. Had to scribe in all the details and that took a long time. Only thing I liked about this kit, well, it has ONE TREE of sprues....or SPRUE and 2 halves for the main body, I am glad its not like some stupid kits with 900 parts. What crap.
